Project Management
Having worked as software developer in project for several years does not
make one a project manager. Leading a team, controlling schedule and budget,
preparing decisions and keeping the motivation high even in difficult situations
takes additional skills.
For that, our project managers perform management in the truest sense of the
word, as art of directing. Getting things done through people.
While many project managers are good at planning and organising, they start
to fail at controlling and are miserable at leading. But leading is what makes
the difference between success and failure in a project!
Antoine de Saint-Exupery expressed what it takes to make this difference as
follows: “If you want to build a ship
don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and
work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.“
Men and women who work for us as project managers are chosen for those additional
talents. |
